The role of AI in the Future of Education as per Allama Iqbal Open University training

In the first session, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Ur Rehman, who is the dean of the faculty of Education at AIOU, mentioned that AI is not just a technology; it is the technology of this era, and it is time it is going to revolutionize educational practices.

The course concentrates on the range of opportunities offered by AI in the academic shape with the objective of supplying instructors with the experience and knowledge they need to increase their level of learning.

Shadrach, Basheerhamad, the director of CEMCA and their chief guest, affirm the dual essence of AI including primarily its capability to develop education in the best of ways and the associated hardships. He underscored the necessity of comprehending the potential of AI and extending depth to capitalize on it accordingly.

In this course students will be informed about AI in education from different angles automated grading, personalized learning and creation of educational materials smart enough to react to student’s specific needs. Incorporating these technologies into their teaching strategies can be very helpful for teachers to adapt their techniques to the demands of particular students.

Strengthening educational capacities

This program has two-fold goals: first, to imbue faculty with AI technology basics, and second, to stimulate creativity and innovation in technology-supported classroom activities and teaching strategies.

The joint venture with CEMCA will contribute to making the training a modern educational platform that precisely fits contemporary educational needs and patterns so it can become a timely response for education in a digital era.

AI is an essential tool for education nowadays. At the same time, its right usage for these purposes can be an important achievement of online educational platforms.

The aim of the program is not limited to coping with the multitude of modern teaching demands but also to develop and improve the skills of the teacher in the continuous use of the latest technologies.

Prospects and implications

With the training, learners will take part in hands-on workshops where they will put the AI applications to work towards creating their curriculum and student evaluation. Practical sessions will be held to demonstrate the concepts and techniques that were taught. By doing this, knowledge is provided that is applicable in everyday educational settings, which will reinforce and help achieve the set-up of an innovative and continuous learning culture.

This session of AIOU’s training program culminates with a debate on AI and education’s tendencies in the years ahead- not only focusing on solving present-day issues but also future advancements.

As AI has started becoming a normal occurrence in many fields, the educational sector is facing a challenge for drastic changes, AIOU being in the front line in training its staff in order for them to be at the front of these changes.

The university will carry on expanding these workshops yearly, the reflection of its commitment to at least the annual professional development and the awareness of educational technologies’ execution.

The proactive nature of this approach additionally helps educators build a more effective educational background for students while enhancing their learning experience.
