Tech giant Microsoft has unveiled plans to empower 100,000 women in the Philippines through comprehensive training in artificial intelligence (AI) technology and cybersecurity. The initiative was announced during a high-profile two-day trade mission led by US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.
Empowering women through technology training
Microsoft aims to equip Filipino women with essential skills in AI and cybersecurity through an accessible online platform. These women will receive training on utilizing Microsoft’s AI tools, including those powered by OpenAI’s advanced language models. The objective is to enhance their employability and enable them to effectively identify and respond to cybersecurity threats in the workplace.
Collaborating closely with government agencies and local educational institutions, Microsoft plans to deliver this training initiative to a wide spectrum of participants, including government employees. Addressing cybersecurity challenges and disinformation
