Salesforce said the investment will also improve Singapore’s service and public sector through labor expansion. The company noted that its autonomous and customizable AI agent solution would play a key role in the service and public sector. It noted that this would be relevant in Singapore as it grappled with an aging population and declining birth rates.

Salesforce highlighted that Singapore was an important growth market. It noted that businesses within the country increasingly adopted Agentforce to unlock new opportunities for their clientele. The company revealed the investment illustrated its support for Singapore’s national AI strategy 2.0 and its vision to be a global AI innovation driver.
The CRM software company said thousands of customers worldwide invested in Agentforce, its digital labor platform. It added that Agentforce builds and deploys digital agents that can drive meaningful outcomes 24/7. The company explained that the investment would support Singapore enterprises as they built their digital workforces. It added that this would bring humans and autonomous Agentforce agents to unlock new productivity levels and innovation. Salesforce suggested that increased Agenforce adoption had the potential to drive impact across Singapore’s startups and the public sector.
Jermaine Loy, Singapore Economic Development Board managing director commented that Singapore welcomes the Salesforce investment. He added that the investment would help the nation boost its ongoing efforts to build an artificial intelligence(AI) innovation hub. Loy noted the investment would also help the Singapore government push for more AI adoption in its businesses.
The director mentioned that Salesforce’s AI research and workforce development initiatives would strengthen its ecosystem. He clarified that it would boost innovation in industries and corporates based in Singapore.
Salesforce expresses its excitement to continue its investment in Singapore
Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, commented that the world was entering a new era of digital labor. He predicted that businesses would be transformed by autonomous agents who would augment humans. The CEO suggested this would revolutionize productivity and would enable companies to scale without limits.
Benioff said Singapore was at the forefront of the shift to digital labor. He added that Salesforce was excited to expand its work with its business community and long-time partners within Singapore.
The CEO said the company had been in Singapore for over 25 years and enjoyed their experience there. He added that they did not only do sales and marketing in the country. Benioff revealed that the company had also expanded its artificial intelligence development in the county. He added that some of the world’s best AI engineers were in their Singapore research center.
The company revealed it had invested in Singapore for over twenty years and established an expansive customer base. It listed some customers, including Singapore Airlines, FairPrice Group, and Ocean Network. Salesforce revealed that its customers used AI technology to enhance their experience and unlock revenue streams.
It added that in 2019, it expanded its AI Research team internationally and chose Singapore as its first overseas AI research hub location. Salesforce said that the AI hub has contributed to developing the global AI industry in the past six years. It noted the hub helped develop modes such as multimodal language vision foundation models (BLIP) and Moirai.
Salesforce added it would introduce data residency support for Data Cloud Agentforce and Unified Marketing Applications (UMA) on its Hyperforce platform in the country next month. It said the move would help businesses tap into Salesforce’s Agentforce and data offerings while abiding by local data residency regulations.
