Rockstar Games has unveiled the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, arriving just days after the studio announced a major delay for its most ambitious title yet.
The new footage, captured on PlayStation 5, offers players an in-depth look at the game’s storyline and key characters as they navigate the criminal underworld of the fictional state of Leonida.

“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” the official description reads. When “an easy score goes wrong,” the duo finds themselves stuck in a conspiracy around Leonida’s streets, and they must rely on each other if they hope to survive.
Alongside the trailer, Rockstar’s GTA VI website now features detailed biographies for both playable leads and a range of supporting characters, accompanied by fresh screenshots.
Jason Duval grew up around grifters and crooks and, after leaving the Army, ended up working for drug runners in the Keys. He wants an easy life, but it gets harder, and meeting Lucia could either be his saving grace or his downfall.

Lucia Caminos learned to fight since childhood thanks to her father’s harsh lessons. After serving time in Leonida Penitentiary, she’s out on a stroke of luck and determined to make smarter choices. Lucia’s primary goal is the good life her mother dreamed of back in Liberty City, and she’s ready to seize it by any means, possibly alongside Jason.
Rockstar’s site reveals Jason’s inner circle.
Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend who prefers the safety of his home, where he monitors Coast Guard communications with private browser tabs and cold beers. Cal’s casual paranoia contrasts sharply with Jason’s bigger ambitions.
Then there’s Boobie Ike, a Vice City legend who turned his street reputation into a legitimate empire of real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. Boobie’s true passion lies in his partnership with the music mogul Dre’Quan Priest at Only Raw Records.

Dre’Quan, once more of a hustler than a gangster, always dreamed of breaking into the music industry. Now signed to his own label, he hopes to move beyond booking acts for Boobie’s club and make a splash in Vice City’s music scene.
Among his signees are Real Dimez, the rap duo Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who parlayed viral videos and local hits into a record deal. After five years and plenty of hurdles, they’re banking on Only Raw Records to catapult them to stardom.
Rockstar’s character lineup continues with Raul Bautista, a seasoned bank robber whose charm and risk-taking raise the stakes for every heist.
His crew will eventually have to decide whether to double down or step away. Finally, Brian Heder represents the golden age of Keys smuggling. A veteran drug runner, Brian still moves product through his boat yard while letting others do the dirty work—and he lets Jason stay rent-free at one of his properties in exchange for help with shakedowns and an occasional sip of his wife Lori’s sangria.
Rockstar revealed the various locations of GTA VI’s stylized take on Florida, Leonida.

Players will explore Vice City, with pastel art deco hotels on Ocean Beach, bustling panaderías in Little Cuba, and the Tisha-Wocka flea market. Beyond the city lie the Leonida Keys, an easygoing tropical archipelago edged by some of the country’s most dangerous waters.
Furthermore, GTA 6 will also include Grassrivers, the sprawling wetlands where gators are just the start of the danger lurking among the mangroves.
Port Gellhorn, once a thriving vacation spot, has fallen into decay, now driven by truck stop energy drinks and cheap motels. Ambrosia sits at the industrial heart of Leonida, where a sugar refinery fuels the local economy even as a biker gang fills other needs. Up north, Mount Kalaga offers wilderness trails for hunting and fishing, with hillbilly mystics and radicals dwelling beyond government reach.
The official website still lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as day-one platforms, with a PC release expected to follow.
