A Fortnite leak by a well-known source hints towards the potential crossover with Super Mario. The leaker reports finding a flipbook asset of a cosmetic vehicle that resembles the signature Super Mario “question block”.
The hasn’t leaked much information other than the cosmetic asset of a supposed question block-themed vehicle. However the the leaker iFireMonkey has further given away in comments that the file is named “MC box” which could mean “Mario coin box”.
The question block is a signature Mario element in which the player finds a power item and more often a coin with an iconic sound effect.

Super Mario in Fornite is doubtful due to its family-friendly genre
The comments by the users under the tweet were mostly positive. Some players have their fingers crossed for devs to create a mode based on Maria Kart, one of the popular game series.
There was a doubt from other players that the referenced block could be pointing towards Rocket Racing. However, there is very little chance since the game has halted any major updates.
On the other hand, the probability of collaboration with Super Mario seems doubtful because Nintendo due to its family-friendly orientation would not prefer its famous characters being shot at or holding a gun.
Fortnite’s universe has seen several popular characters like Peely and Fishstick. The Battle Royale mode in the game also included a list of impressive collaborations.
The range of these collaborations is vast, including films, anime, comics, music personalities, TV series, sports, and influencers. It also has iconic collaborations with IPs of popular games like Streetfighter, Gears of War, Leagues of Legends, and Assasin’s Creed.
Moreover, fan-favorite characters such as Chun-li, Ryu, and Ezio Auditore have appeared in battle royales as well. However, the iconic Mario has not made its debut in the game yet. This won’t be the case for long if the rumor ends up true.
