Will Musk-Bezos space endeavor trigger Bitcoin adoption?

Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, two of the most powerful and influential leaders of today’s time, have transformed the way people read, shop and travel. Together, will they spark the Bitcoin adoption?

The two monumentally successful technology entrepreneurs will fire over three thousand satellites into the orbit with an aim to cater to the internet needs of the underprivileged parts of the world.

On Jul 04, Amazon declared that the launch will facilitate inexpensive broadband to millions of people living in the less-fortunate areas.

Musk, on the other hand, has gone one step ahead and acquired the approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the extravagant project headed by Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corp. With permission to launch over eleven thousand space capsules, Musk will pioneer the grand internet accessibility program.

What does it mean for the cryptocurrency community?

While the world watches the two joining hands for a space race, the cryptocurrency community wonders whether this could sway the Bitcoin adoption worldwide.

A Bitcoin enthusiast and regular crypto-Twitter comments that the massive-scale program will get internet on every smartphone. Anyone with a smartphone and internet connectivity, regardless of the location, can get access to Bitcoin trading. 

Another crypto trader surmises that global internet access will change the way people perceive Bitcoin as a currency. However, a fellow cryptocurrency analyst hit back saying that corporations are controlling the world with digital surveillance.

Meanwhile, there were other firm supporters who remarked that Bitcoin has already spread its wings in outer space with Blocksteam’s satellite coverage.

For now, it is difficult to conclude that the project’s success will translate into Bitcoin’s exponential growth in the years to come. That said, with internet access to over three billion people, awareness regarding cryptocurrencies, if not acceptance, will almost certainly be boosted.
