Former professional basketball personality, Shaquille O’Neal, better known as Shaq, has decided to enter the blockchain industry. The basketball player turned entrepreneur has entered the blockchain sphere through non-fungible tokens. He announced that on October 15th, his own NFT Collection would be released.

O’Neal is a four-time National Basketball Association or NBA who has invested his money in a lot of projects. His recent investment comes in the form of non-fungible tokens that will be released on the Eternity Chain. The company made the announcement on Monday, October 4th.

The NFT Collection to depict the life of Shaq

The NFT Collection presented by Shaquille is called “Shaquille O’Neal: The Eras of Dominance Collection” and will be launched live on October 15th, on Ethernity.

The athlete is known for playing with 3 prominent teams during his entire career spanning from 1992-2011. These teams are the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and the Orlando Magic. The NFT Collection will contain around five scenes from the athlete’s career in these teams, which made his legendary career as a basketball player.

The buyers of the NFT Collection will be eligible for a personal one-on-one video call with the athlete himself, as well as for a dinner table with him during his music festival. They will also get a chance to win size 22 shoes.

Ethernity entering the NFT space

Not only Shaquille but Ethernity has released NFTs earlier with many athletes like Ezekiel Elliot and Manny Pacquiao. Ethernity also dropped Muhammad Ali NFTs, to which the basketball player gave a shootout on Twitter back in the month of May.

Recently, Ethernity also announced the launch of a limited edition NFT collection of WNBA Hall of Fame inductees Swin Cash & Tamika Catchings.

The NFT industry has become unstoppable now, as more celebrities like Mila Kunis, DJ Paul Oakenfold, Katy Perry, The Weeknd, and other celebrities enter the blockchain realm.
