Jupiter Exchange X account gets hacked, shares scam tokens

Jupiter Exchange’s X account was hacked earlier today, and the hacker promoted scam tokens in various posts. While these posts have been removed, the account’s recovery has not yet been confirmed.

According to several screenshots circulating on X, the official X account of Jupiter Exchange promoted a scam meme coin with the ticker $MEOW. The scam coin’s name was apparently inspired by the pseudonym “Meow” used by Jupiter’s cofounder.

Jupiter Mobile’s X handle posted the warning to its users, confirming that the exchange’s main account had been hacked. Many traders flocked under Jupiter Mobile’s warning post and commented about their Solana losses.

Beanie, the founder of GM Capital, said “Traders lost millions instantly on this Jupiter account hack … literally in a matter of minutes.”

The hacker also sent Andrew Tate a “hey” text and hosted an X space for a few minutes.

Beanie added, “It’s amazing how we trust these protocols with billions of dollars in liquidity, but they’re not competent enough to protect their social media.”
