Cryptopolitan targeted with DDoS attack for exposing scams

Cryptopolitan DDoS

Nearly every webmaster has experienced some kind of hack attack in their careers, but in most cases, it’s from desperate competitors trying to insert redirection malware to drive traffic away from the victim.

DDoS attacks are on a completely different level, they’re designed to bring down the website or server completely and inflict as much damage as humanly possible.

Cryptopolitan was, unfortunately, one of the victims of such attacks today as one was directed towards the servers in the hopes of bringing the website down. If any of our readers found it hard to connect to the website a few hours ago, that may have been the reason.

Nevertheless, this DDoS attack is a reminder that not everybody in this world likes to play fair, and at the slightest mention of criticism, they respond with aggression and these types of attacks to get rid of the evidence.

Cryptopolitan has been more than vigilant in detecting and reporting any and all existing scams in the cryptocurrency world. The website’s main value is to deliver neutral and authentic news so that the readers themselves can draw conclusions from the information.

But when it comes to reporting scammers and fraudsters, Cryptopolitan does not shy away from commentary and nothing but cold hard facts, much like articles about:

The website’s latest research on various scam operations may have drawn unwanted attention to it, but in some aspect, this was exactly the goal.

As long as the crypto community receives timely information and is spared from scammers like these, the Cryptopolitan team will deem it as a job well done even under hundreds of DDoS attacks every day.

Nevertheless, it’s quite daunting to see that scammers are ready to go this far in order to silence their critics and those that would oppose their unethical behaviour.

It’s a reminder of how important it is for us to conduct quality research when dealing with unknown entities.

There might be a chance that these types of attacks will continue well in the future as Cryptopolitan continues to grow, but what can be said without any doubt is that Cryptopolitan will not sway from its path of delivering honest, authentic and factual information to its readers and to all of the crypto community to see.
