Bybit and Ghaf Labs sign a MoU to accelerate Web3 adoption in the Middle East

Bybit and Ghaf Labs have teamed up to drive cryptocurrency adoption in the Middle East. The two tech firms revealed on May 12 that their primary goals will be to drive Web3 ecosystem development, crypto adoption, and real-world utility development across the Middle East and North Africa.

The firms revealed a shared mission to accelerate Web3 adoption. Both companies added that they will achieve this through supporting innovation, clarifying regulatory policies, and encouraging meaningful use cases.

Ghaf Labs and Bybit announce a strategic partnership in the Middle East

Ghaf Labs, backed by Ghaf Capital Partners, a MENA-based Web3 advisory firm, and Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange firm by volume, have joined forces to drive Web3 adoption in the Middle East region. 

Bybit and Ghaf Labs aim to provide free grants, startup support, and access to strategic resources. The provision will allow ventures to explore blockchain, AI, and sustainability sectors, which the partners believe are central to the region’s digital transformation.

Helen Liu, COO and Partner of Bybit, said that the partnership with Ghaf Labs is rooted in a shared vision for the MENA region, where crypto isn’t only adopted but lived. She added that they’re building the bridges that bring crypto to everyday life, from developer tooling to lifestyle integration. 

Bybit and Ghaf Labs revealed they will launch a series of educational materials designed to grow local Web3 talent. The Cryptocurrency firms will form university partnerships, boot camps, and developer hackathons to empower the next generation of blockchain builders. 

Both parties said they will co-develop educational content to improve Web3 literacy across Arabic-English-speaking communities in the region. Faras Al Sadek, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Ghaf Labs, said that the partnership with Bybit reflects their shared commitment to advancing Web3 infrastructure education and institutional engagement across the MENA region. 

Al Sadek added that together they aim to accelerate innovation and continue positioning the UAE as a global hub for digital assets. 

Bybit and Ghaf Labs partner to explore the real-world utility of crypto 

Bybit announced Bybit Card, an application of real-world utility through crypto that connects digital assets with premium experiences. The card will offer premium access through partners such as Grand Millennium Hotels in Dubai. The two tech firms believe this demonstrates crypto’s role in elevating travel, luxury, and everyday spending.

Ghaf Labs and Bybit revealed plans to elevate the regional event scene, co-branding marquee events such as the Crypto Polo Cup and Crypto Fight Night. The two tech companies believe these gatherings will connect luxury, sport, and Web3 culture to ignite awareness and engagement. 

Bybit and Ghaf Labs see the MOU as a pathway to jointly explore innovation funding, institutional integration, and blockchain-powered use cases across finance, hospitality,  and education, contributing to a strong Web3 infrastructure in the MENA region.

The joint venture’s positioning aims to reinforce the UAE’s status as a forward-thinking jurisdiction and reflect Bybit’s long-term investment in the region’s digital future. Ghaf Labs and Bybit plan to advance projects focused on blockchain and decentralized technologies to create a more open, fair, and secure Internet.
