LIVE: US nuclear strike on Iran within days? Big claim surfaces

American political commentator Tucker Carlson has claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pressuring President Donald Trump to launch a nuclear strike on Iran within days, potentially targeting an underground nuclear facility in central Iran.

Tucker wrote:

“Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program.”

According to him, the suspected tunnels of enrichment lie under 300 feet of granite and cannot be destroyed with normal U.S. arms.

Tucker wrote:

“No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike.”

According to Tucker, an informed source claims that Benjamin contacts Trump on a daily basis regarding his plan to attack Iran. It is further alleged that Benjamin is facing a political crisis in the wake of the recently held Israeli elections and he must seek the help of Trump in order to get a Knesset majority of 61 seats.

Tucker claims Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe are supporting Benjamin’s position.

He also alleges that Democratic leaders oppose the current negotiations, including former President Barack Obama, who reportedly objected to a proposed peace agreement being drafted in Doha.

Tucker said that Benjamin went to Abu Dhabi secretly on September 27 in order to urge the Emiratis to help them make another strike against Iran; however, the Emirates refused.

The accusations came when the economy impact of the prolonged war became an issue of concern.

As stated by Tucker, 11 out of 850 oil supertankers suffered severe damage in the Strait of Hormuz in October, which caused more problems for the Gulf region as well as for the international energy and fertilizers market due to 8-month-long conflict.

Furthermore, Tucker claims that in case of a nuclear explosion on Pickax Mountain, the radiation will spread all over the Persian Gulf area, contaminating the drinking water of 100 million people.

Tucker further claimed that Russia has warned at least two governments that an American nuclear attack could justify nuclear weapons being used against Ukraine.

He raised similar concerns about India and Pakistan, as well as North Korea and South Korea, arguing that the consequences could escalate into a wider nuclear war.

He also alleged that the Trump administration quietly revised American nuclear doctrine in February to make the first use of tactical nuclear weapons easier.

Tucker wrote, “Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons.”

That places the alleged decision around November 7. However, Tucker says Trump remains hesitant and is listening to Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff, who believe a negotiated settlement remains possible.

He also claims that Iranian officials are broadly interested in avoiding further conflict, despite divisions within Tehran following the reported killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and members of his family in February. Tucker suggested that decades of isolation have also complicated Tehran’s understanding of Western politics, including a belief among some Iranian officials that Washington controls Israel.

These claims remain unverified, and Tucker’s account does not establish that the United States has approved or scheduled a nuclear strike.

On Wall Street, US stock futures climbed early Monday ahead of corporate earnings, employment reports and the midterm elections. S&P 500 futures rose 0.5%, Nasdaq-100 futures gained 0.9%, and Dow futures added 186 points, or 0.4%.

The gains followed a difficult week for US equities, with the Nasdaq Composite falling 2% as investors continued selling technology stocks tied to artificial intelligence spending. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average each lost less than 1%.
