Messari founder names Brad Sherman crypto villain for 2020

TL;DR

Brad Sherman crypto villain? Sounds interesting isn’t it? Every story has its villains and heroes! And the crypto realm is no different. The founder of Messari, Ryan Selkis, has named congressman Brad Sherman crypto villain for 2020 in his latest ‘Top-5 Personalities to Watch Out for in 2020’ list.

Antagonists play an important role in every story and re. Sherman is playing out his act well. He is a congressman from the thirtieth district of California. Although he doesn’t sit on a revolving chair to plan world destruction, he is actively working to stop the crypto industry’s progress. In the past few years, he has been pretty vocal against the cryptocurrency and decentralized industry’s progress.

Ryan Selkis names Brad Sherman crypto villain for good reason

The founder of Messari, Ryan Selkis, is well known to voice his opinion on the policies concerning the crypto industry. He says that Dem. Brad Sherman has consistently opposed every policy move that will benefit the crypto realm in the United States. The congressman is of the view that cryptocurrencies are primarily used for terror-financing, tax frauds, and money laundering only.

Other notable names in his list of ‘Top-5 Personalities to Watch out for in 2020’ include Justin Sun, Jack Dorsey, Meltem Demirors, and Changpeng Zhao. However, Brad Sherman crypto villain takes the top spot!

Ryan says that he is like any other evil antagonist in the crypto script. He holds extremely negative views of the crypto realm viewing it with a dystopia. He is smart and uses conniving ways to obstruct any policy that will lead to crypto growth. The congressman seems to have stuck with the initial negative narrative that plagued Bitcoin in its early days. He is against Bitcoin’s growth as he views it as a threat to the reserve currency status of the mighty U.S. dollar.

Ryan adds that Mr. Sherman is not naïve and does know a lot of technical aspects regarding cryptocurrencies. He doesn’t just oppose virtual currencies without any knowledge. He uses his crypto understanding to create a negative wave about digital currencies, especially when it comes to the regulations. No wonder Brad Sherman crypto villain is an apt title for the congressman.
