Japan is a leading country when it comes to technology. It is a developed country and has one of the world’s most active trading market. Taotao is a Japanese crypto exchange. It is backed up by Yahoo! And it is expected to start functioning on the 25th of May 2019.
Taotao will allow its users to trade in a limited range of cryptocurrencies only. The cryptocurrencies that are supported by Taotao include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, and LiteCoin.
Taotao was previously known as BitARG. Yahoo had announced some time ago that it would be buying a forty percent stake by using Z Corporation. Some sources report that the price for buying these stakes was over nineteen million dollars ($19 million), but no official statement was made regarding the price from Yahoo
Last month BitARG changed its name to TaoTao. As of now, TaoTao is focusing on attracting investors and buyers. Official dealings with clients will start from the 25th of May. TaoTao has been approved by the FSA. It has a license which is mandatory to have for a crypto exchange as well.
At the beginning of March, the Cabinet of Japan made some new rules and regulations for the crypto space and the tradings taking place in it. This was to bring the rules for crypto tradings on the same level as forex tradings.
Japan has a growing industry in crypto, and it is one of the few countries with big conglomerates that realize the potential crypto space has. They see crypto as a valuable asset and a long term investment that is bound to benefit them in the end.
