Trump speaks about his 2nd assassination attempt in a live interview on X

In a live Space on X, Former President, Donald Trump recounted being at his Florida golf course club when the Secret Service engaged with an alleged assassin. 

The X Space was hosted by renowned crypto influencer Farokh Sarmad @Farokh and retweeted by Elon Musk. Over 1.2 million listeners tuned into the space, along with the former president Trump himself, Eric Trump, Barron, and a few other notable names.

According to the former president, he was playing golf with his friends, including businessman Steve Witkoff when the group heard gunshots. 

Regarding the number of gunshots, he added, “And I guess probably four or five, and it sounded like bullets, but what do I know about that.”

Trump further stated, “We’re in the group and everybody just, we got into the carts, and we moved along pretty good. I was with an agent, and the agent did a fantastic job.” 

Ryan Wesley, the alleged assassin gets charged with two gun crimes

Following the apparent assassination attempt, Ryan Wesley Routh, 58 received two gun crime charges. The assassin had allegedly pushed his rifle’s muzzle through the vicinity’s fences, which resulted in a Secret Service agent opening fire at him.

Ronald Rowe, the Acting Secret Service Director later mentioned that the assassin didn’t have a proper line of sight to Trump. He further added that the attacker had fled the scene, only to be arrested shortly after. 

Rowe mentioned, “With reports of gunfire, the former president’s close protection detail immediately evacuated the president to a safe location.”
