- Trading platform, Public.com has added Shiba Inu to its list of supported cryptocurrencies.
- Many SHIB investors are also interested in seeing Robinhood list the dog-themed cryptocurrency on their platform.
On Wednesday, retail investment platform Public.com announced on Twitter the “Dogecoin Killer” Shiba Inu (SHIB) has been listed for trading on their platform, beating its popular competitor Robinhood to the token listing.
Shiba Inu is now traded on Public
Since Public came into the business in 2019, it provided millions of investors the access to investing in stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETF). Early in October, however, it joined the likes of Rohinbood to launch the option for investors to trade 10 digital currencies at the time, including Bitcoin, Ether, Dogecoin, Litecoin, and others.
Shiba Inu is currently the latest cryptocurrency to launch on the platform, which would grant more investors (except New York residents) access to the dog-themed tokens, which made headlines over the past few days. The execution and custody services for Shiba Inu and other cryptocurrencies on the platform are provided by Apex Crypto.
When Robinhood listing
The SHIB community is keener on having the token listed on the popular trading platform Robinhood. Recently, a petition was opened on Change.org for Robinhood to list Shiba Inu, and currently, 282,312 people have signed, leaving out only 17,688 slots to the 300,000 signature goal. Even at this increasing request from SHIB holders, Robinhood is yet to confirm the token will be listed on its platform.
On October 18, SHIB briefly spiked following the rumor that Robinhood is planning to list it. However, the frenzy stalled after the trading platform said, “they have not made any announcements with regards to SHIB or any other upcoming coins.” Meanwhile, SHIB has made its way to more exchanges, including Coinbase, BTCTurk, and ZebPay.
At the time of writing, SHIB was trading at $0.00002781 on CoinMarketCap, a 0.22% decrease on the 24 hours chart. At a $10.9 billion market cap, SHIB ranked as the 20th largest cryptocurrency.
