Playstation The Concert: Iconic game music to take the center stage for the first time

Sony has announced PlayStation: The Concert for the celebration of famous in-game music. The concert will feature fan-favorite tracks from The Last of Us, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon to more than 200 cities. 

The concert will span over two years with a long list of cities. It could be once in a lifetime experience for the gaming community and PlayStation fans.

“..It’s the ultimate video game concert experience, embodying PlayStation’s innovative spirit and pushing the limits of what’s possible; from your console to stages around the world. ” – says Sid Shuman, Senior Director, Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Communications

Playstation has collaborated with RoadCo Entertainment, and GEA Live to bring the live music event for the fans. The announcement sounded ambitious for an immersive live experience.

Music by artists like Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us), Joris De Man (Horizon), Ilan Eshkeri (Ghost of Tsushima), and Bear McCreary (God of War) will be played live for the audience by “virtuoso soloists in an unprecedented way”.

Playstation concert will be a blend of music and “multi-layered visuals”

The stage will comprise of multi-screen design with the latest LED and projection technologies.

They may showcase the imagery related to the games mentioned since Sony promises a “deeply immersive experience”. This could allow the audience to step into the world of these games along with the iconic music.

If this concert goes well, PlayStation could set a new standard for the video game world making its debut in live entertainment.

An early access code for the tickets is publicly revealed aswell

Currently, the site has announced the tour schedule for two months only, April and May 2025. However, it is mentioned that further dates will be announced soon.

Until now the schedule covers Dublin, Ireland – Glasgow, Scotland, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, UK – Amsterdam, Netherlands – Paris, Amnéville, France – Brussels, Belgium – Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Munich, Oberhausen, Germany – Zurich, Switzerland – Bologna, Italy – Budapest, Hungary – Sofia, Bulgaria – Vienna, Austria – Bratislava, Slovakia – Prague, Czech Republic – Lodz, Poland – Copenhagen, Denmark – Gothenburg, Sweden – Oslo, Norway in the months of April and May.

Belgium and Tempere were also part of the list before they were removed.

The tickets will open to the general public from October 18th. On the other hand, the PlayStation users will exclusively get early access to the tickets from tomorrow October 16, at 7 am PT. Players are required to use the code PLAYCONCERT24 to grab the tickets fast.

Given how the code was publicly revealed, it is doubtful the interested audience will wait for October 18th. However, there is a possibility this code could be a first come first get scheme and only the X number of early access tickets will be provided. Even though Playstation has not mentioned it.

Playstation: The Concert will launch on April 19, 25 from Dublin. Between April 21st to April 27, the tour will move to the UK. After that, it will move ahead to 200 other cities covering Europe, the US, and more.
