    • A new and exciting Bitcoin conference on the sunny side of the Alps gets industry enthusiasts excited.

    • The conference will take place in Maribor, Slovenia, a city that’s been previously voted as the European Capital of Culture in 2012.

    • The event is organized by NiceHash and will feature prominent speakers within the industry, including Saifedean Ammous, author of the Bitcoin Standard and ex-Cointelegraph reporter Joe Hall (Nakamoto)

NiceHash is happy to announce its first-ever Bitcoin conference, which was organized in Maribor, Slovenia. The conference will attract prominent thought leaders within the crypto industry to share their takes on Bitcoin adoption and the future of cryptocurrency exchange platforms amid tightened regulations.

The conference will be Bitcoin-focused and will promote Maribor Slovenia as a Bitcoin hub. Since Slovenia already boasts over 1000 businesses actively accepting Bitcoin payments, the team has a strong feeling that Maribor can serve as a unique Bitcoin hub within the central European region.

During the event, several enterprises will showcase how the city is championing Bitcoin adoption. The Bitcoin adoption theme will be further advanced by NiceHash, which plans to soft-launch a BTC payment solution with local merchants. The product will be demoed by local enterprises at the conference and within the locality.

“We are delighted to welcome the world to discover how Slovenia is leading the way in European Bitcoin adoption,” says Vladimir Hozjan, CEO of NiceHash. “With 10 years of experience in this industry, we have witnessed phenomenal growth in the interest of using Bitcoin, here in Maribor and around the country. Join us as we celebrate, and witness Bitcoin in its purest form, used by everyday people, alongside some of the brightest speakers in the industry.”

The conference attendees will enjoy a broad range of experienced speakers within the crypto space, including Saifedean Ammous, author of The Bitcoin Standard; ex-Cointelegraph reporter Joe Hall (Nakamoto); BTC Prague conference CEO Martin Kuchař; Bitcoin FilmFest Co-founder Pierre Corbin; CASA CTO Jameson Lopp among others.

Considering that the Bitcoin-focused conference will be the first of its kind in Maribor, the organizers have also prepared an exciting expo area, a trio of main stages, and side events to keep the attendees hooked.

And what’s a crypto party without an all-exclusive afterparty?

An official exclusive after-party after a long day’s work is certainly part of the itinerary. The conference will provide an after-party VIP dinner and music show. Maribor’s thrilling choice will allow attendees to experience stunning architecture in a laid-back atmosphere and cozy cafes all over.

Maribor, Slovenia, indeed serves as a perfect spot for a typical Bitcoin hub. The country is proudly trailing Switzerland on most blockchain startups in Eastern Europe. Slovenia’s high Bitcoin adoption rate per capita also adds to Maribor’s merit as a hub for Bitcoin.
