Mint puts the token last: Inside the rank ladder that $MNTD is meant to sit on top of

  • Mint, an iGaming platform built on Hero Gaming technology, is running a 21-rank XP ladder ahead of its $MNTD token activation.
  • Leaderboard standing from the web platform and the free-to-play Telegram Mini App is set to convert into token allocations at launch.
  • Mint says emissions are hard-capped and tied to platform revenue, aiming for an economy that survives past launch week.

Mint has announced the activation of its $MNTD token as the latest addition to its licensed iGaming platform that allows players to access casino games, a sportsbook, and prediction-market-style products from one account.

The $MNTD launch reverses the order of how most token projects handle their token launch, where token utility is mixed and matched with products and services. Instead, Mint’s new token is being added to expand, not replace features such as ranks, seasons, and leaderboards that have already become popular on the plaftorm over the last months.

Since mid-2025, when the platform was unveiled, CEO, Zak Manhire, has insisted that a token launch is not the same as launching a product. According to Manhire, the token economy should work quietly in the background.

What is Mint?

Mint is a licensed iGaming platform that lets players use one account across casino games, a sportsbook, and prediction-market-style products built on Hero Gaming Group’s tech, the Malta-based gamified casinos builder founded by Georg Westin in 2013.

Mint is applying Hero’s gamification idea to a token economy.

The casino content (a portfolio of more than 12,000 titles) and sportsbook infrastructure on Mint are delivered by Hub88 and Odds88. In the January announcement, Hub88’s managing director acknowledged the maturity behind Mint’s Web3 approach.

How do players advance through Mint’s progression system?

Mint players can progress through 21 ranks, starting at Level 00 “Noob” up to “Minted” at Level 20. Players advance through Ape, Hunter, Bowen, Slick, and Alpha levels on their way to the top, with every new rank unlocking more perks, including shares from daily reward pools, rakebacks, lossbacks, airdrops, and dedicated VIP support.

Players need 5,000 XP to reach Level 1, and 250 million points for the top level, which they earn by playing, betting, and chatting on community forums.

Ahead of the token activation, Mint has been running a 200% XP boost on eligible play. Standings from the web platform and the Telegram Mini App are meant to convert into $MNTD allocations at launch.

What is different about Mint’s token?

Mint’s announcement detailed some of the safety nets the platform has built to avoid the usual volume spikes, promo abuse, and downturns that drag down reward tokens.

The $MNTD token has a hard cap and is linked to platform revenue, so its supply tracks platform performance. So, instead of issuing new tokens on an inflexible, preset schedule, Mint token emissions are adjusted by an AI-assisted incentive model that follows platform growth.

Also, on-chain verification covers core reward flows, and exploitation controls are also integrated to ensure fair participation.

The announcement doesn’t say what the emission cap is, how XP converts into allocations, or how revenue linkage is calculated.

As for what comes next, Mint is already looking forward to the three priorities it specifically named in its roadmap:

  • More titles on the shared infrastructure
  • Additional leaderboard seasons with token-denominated prize pools
  • Continued scaling of the AI content pipeline

Mint’s own platform is also restricted in a long list of jurisdictions, including the US, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Australia, and its reward tokens carry the usual risks. The platform is for adults only, and players should check their local rules first.
