TL;DR

According to a GeekWire report, one of the largest companies in the world, Microsoft will be employing the capabilities of the blockchain on its PowerApps and Microsoft Flow platforms to better speed up the operations.

The official announcement of the blockchain adaptation by the company will be announced sometime today in Atlanta, during the Microsoft Business Applications Summit.

According to the reports we have currently, Microsoft will be adopting two frameworks on its platforms. More specifically, the PowerApps custom application builder and the PowerBI business intelligence tool will be receiving blockchain and artificial intelligence oriented tools and add-ons to experiment with.

The Power Platform itself is basically a combination of tools that any business or tech company may need. Power BI, PowerApps and Microsoft Flow are all tools for companies to use for better productivity and data analysis streamlining.

Overall, it’s designed for businesses to interact with and pool most of their efforts on one single platform.

This is not the first time Microsoft has dealt with blockchain, as the company had already introduced some blockchain based tools in May when it released the Azure Blockchain Development Kit.

Overall, the inclusion of one of the world’s largest tech companies in the blockchain space is going to do nothing but advance the industry even further and introduce new and more manageable frameworks down the line, especially since Microsoft seems to be focusing on aiding tools for developers and creative project teams.
