Users at LocalBitcoins need to wait for 14 days after submitting their acount deletion request. Usually, users receive their funds back after these 14 days. As the customer support seems to be non-responsive, many people have decisively submitted account deletion requests hoping to receive their Bitcoins back after due time.
A user from Lebanon, who claims to represent a local crypto-related business, reported that the platform suspended his account without any prior warning or email. Nader Dirany claims that the account deletion has resulted in the termination of his whole business despite him having set up the account three years ago, at which time Nader also verified his passport with the platform.
Currently, LocalBitcoins trading volume is seeing a steady decline and has fallen by 50 percent since September 2019.
