A Fortnite leak revealed the return of Lara Croft in Chapter 6, Season 2 with a Lara Croft (2000s) skin. The leak is reported to include multiple skin variants and a car skin. The leak caused excitement among Fortnite players as the game kept adding to its extensive list of characters.

Since being released by Epic Games in September 2017, Fortnite has grown to become one of the world’s leading shooter and battle royal games. The game has incorporated engaging gameplay and content to retain its large player base and keep itself relevant to date.

Leak reveals new Lara Croft Fortnite skin

According to a leak by Shiina, Lara Croft will be making her return to Fortnite as part of a new collaboration. According to the leak, Fortnite’s new character skin addition will be known as Lara Croft (2000s) and will feature looks and outfits similar to the character featured in Tomb Raider games released during the early 2000s.

The skin returns for the first time since making its debut as part of the Battle Pass during Chapter 2, Season 5, where it quickly became a fan-favorite.

The leak also revealed that the Lara Croft (2000s) skin will feature multiple unspecified variants, including car skin. However, the leak did not provide specific details as to what cosmetic changes the Lara Croft skin variations will have. The leak revealed that the package would include a car skin. The car skin was speculated to have significant ties to the current theme in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2: Lawless, suggesting that Lara may have a big role to play in the season event.

Lara Croft’s addition is expected to be part of Fortnite’s successful character collaboration approach, making it dominate in the battle royal niche. Fortnite has collaborated with many different franchises and entertainment brands, allowing them to include popular characters in the game. The strategy has seen beloved figures from film, television, comics, and even real-world pop culture collide in the game. Characters such as Goku, Darth Vader, Spiderman, Batman, Master Chief, Sub-Zero and Cowboy Bebop have been available for gamers to use.

Fortnite is set to continue the collaboration trend, with many new and returning skins making their way into the game this season. Epic Games revealed that Fortnite had also collaborated with the Dune, Mortal Kombat, and Invincible franchises to add more new characters to its ever-expanding catalog. Allen the Alien, Scorpion, Blue Suit Mark, and Dupli-Kate are set to debut in this season of the game, and the characters will be available in the shop.

The game will also include a Kendrick Lamar Emote in the latest update.

Gamers react to Fortnite leaks

Gamers were quick to express their opinions after the new skins were leaked online. Some gamers expressed their excitement by saying that Fortnite was doing a better job than many other games and shows. Some gamers also said that they were especially excited by the fact that the Lara Croft skin would retain its 2000s look and that they finally had a chance to get it after missing out when it first came out.

Other gamers added that they would buy the skin the moment it became available in the shop.

However, other gamers had a different opinion, with some saying that the Lara Croft skin was unnecessary. The gamers said that it was too identical to the first Lara Croft skin and that Epic Games should have just brought back the old skin instead of creating a new one. Other gamers said that the skin should have been based on Angelina Jolie’s iconic Lara Croft films instead of the poor-quality game character. Some gamers added that Epic Games should use more imagination and bring new collaborations with franchises such as The Matrix, Devil May Cry, and Kingdom Hearts instead.
