Hackathon Africa’s highly anticipated second edition, generously funded by the AfricaPlan Foundation, commenced with a flourish as 20 talented graduates from the Southeast region embarked on a transformative journey. The program, spanning three months, aims to immerse participants in the cutting-edge field of Generative AI under the theme “Generative AI: The Future of Tech.”
The selection process for this year’s cohort was rigorous, with over 1000 applications pouring in from across the country. After careful evaluation, 20 graduates were handpicked to join the ranks of Hackathon Africa’s second edition. These chosen individuals will undergo comprehensive training and mentorship, positioning them as trailblazers in the ever-evolving landscape of technology.
Central to the success of this year’s program is the strategic partnership between the AfricaPlan Foundation and Hordanso, a prominent technology company specializing in software development for mobile and web platforms.
