Axie Infinity creator Sky Mavis recently launched a new mobile game: Duet Monsters. It features PvP battles in a rhythmic setting that’d remind of Guitar Hero, and it’s available on mobile devices running Android and iOS.
The game features the vibrant Axies in a musical setting. The goal is to catch the falling food and feed the hungry Axies. Each morsel is linked to a musical note, and players create musical tunes while controlling the Axies to earn score and rewards.
And as part of its release, Duet Monsters is conducting an alpha release tournament where players can earn up to Origin Axie NFTs worth up to $800 each. To win, all you have to do is play the game and rise to the top of the leaderboard. The top three players at the end of the Alpha Release tournament are picked as winners.
Earning $SLP and $AXP in Duet Monsters
To be able to earn $SLP in Duet Monsters, players need to connect a Ronin wallet holding at least 2 Axie NFTs. Players can earn $SLP (smooth love potion) in duet monsters through two main avenues. Firstly, it can be acquired through daily quests that refresh in the game every 24 hours.
Along with that, players can also accumulate it in the SLP battles, which is a PVP mode in which you compete in musical battles against other players. The team has hinted on plans to incorporate it in the leaderboards at a later stage.
However, as of now, the $SLP earned within the game environment will stay in it. In the near future, players will be able to withdraw it to their Ronin wallet.
Apart from $SLP, players also have opportunities to gain $AXP (Axie experience points) by participating in the battles in-game, which they can use to nurture the evolution of their Axies.

To get started with Duet Monsters, you first need to download it to your phone and then connect your Ronin wallet. Here are the steps:
- Open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store on your Android/iOS device.
- Download Duet Monsters on your device.
- Open the app and connect your Ronin wallet that holds at least 2 Axie NFTs.
- Start playing and accumulate $SLP and $AXP.
