- EA Sports College Football series will grace the screen of avid college football fans with EA Sports College Football 25.
- EA Sports is yet to specify a release date.
- The successor of this franchise was not certain for years.
EA Sports College Football series, after being in a lull for almost a decade, will grace the screen of avid college football fans with EA Sports College Football 25. Fans have been milling for the game ever more details and enthusiasm welcome recent leak on social media that tease them about what may well be waiting.
Cover Athlete reveal
Gematsu posted on Twitter, citing multiple sources, that the digital store page for EA Sports College Football 25 was leaked before its official unveiling, with the Deluxe Edition cover pictured. In the leaked cover, college athletes from big-time football programs are at the FBS status (Quinn Ewers from Texas, Donovan Edwards from Michigan, and Hunter from Colorado, who plays cornerback and wide receiver).
Apart from the cover, a game screenshot of Notre Dame Fighting Irish players coming onto the field at the much-anticipated event always supports this.
Although EA Sports has yet to specify a release date for its EA Sports College Football 25, it has also indicated details about the game’s features. In February 2024, EA Sports made it public that the Xbox Series X model will have a 120 pps performance mode option that will ensure a smooth and entertaining experience. Conversely, in the ‘normal graphics’ setting, the maximum FPS will generally be 60.
Anticipation builds for the franchise’s return
The college football fans who have waited so long, the series is now on the verge of return as it was last released in 2014. The successor of this franchise was not certain for years. It was in 2021 that the US Supreme Court passed a judgment in the case of NCAA v. Alston, which enabled college athletes to profit from their own personal name, image, and likeness (NIL).
A choice made in favor of EA Sports, the series was reincarnated, and in February 2021, the company confirmed that College Football would be bringing the series back.
As the launch of the 2025 version of College Football EA Sports gets closer, sports fans are impatiently anticipating more information and announcements from Sports EA. The cover art and screenshots in the game have, no doubt, added to the excitement of what the developers might have in store for this highly anticipated game.
