MAKATI, Philippines — Cryptocurrency continues to account for approximately 95% of payments on BuySellVouchers, according to the company’s internal transaction data, despite the marketplace significantly expanding the number of alternative payment methods available to customers.

BuySellVouchers has added a broader range of payment options to make digital gift cards accessible to customers with different payment preferences and across different markets. These include traditional card payments, digital wallets, bank-based solutions, and regional payment methods.

However, the company’s transaction data shows that crypto remains the dominant choice among its users.

Stablecoins Remain Central to Digital Spending

A significant part of BuySellVouchers’ crypto payment infrastructure is built around stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, allowing customers to convert digital assets into gift cards for gaming, shopping, entertainment, software, and other online services.

The company has also expanded network options with a focus on reducing transaction costs. BuySellVouchers currently charges a $0.20 transaction fee for USDT on BEP20, compared with $4.00 for USDT TRC20, while USDC on Polygon carries no network fee from BuySellVouchers.

This gives crypto holders a practical way to spend stablecoins even when the final retailer or digital platform does not directly accept cryptocurrency.
