Crypto acceptance: Indicator of businesses keeping up with the times

TL;DR

A recent report by Glassnode reported that there are more than 28 million active addresses using Bitcoin. Today cryptocurrency has become an important part of the financial market. To expand this userbase further, crypto acceptance by businesses becomes a major area to work on. People adapt to new technology only when it makes their jobs easier.

For them, if cryptocurrencies are used by their daily coffee shop or grocery store, it is more likely that someday or the other, they will get in the cryptosphere. Crypto acceptance by businesses is the key here. However, this is not the case today. Not all businesses are open to crypto transactions.

Crypto acceptance by the travel industry

The travel industry is one of the largest industries around the world. In 2020, it is expected that the industry will generate more than $1.6 trillion by the end of this year. This is a huge opportunity for crypto-advocates and companies like CheapAir, Destina and Cryptocribs have taken the opportunity. People are now making their payments via crypto wallets for their accommodations.

Recently, Shuttlefare also started accepting Bitcoin via BitPay to make it easier for people to book their airport shuttle rides. Other businesses will soon follow. Food outlets like Starbucks in the US and Burger King in Germany have also started accepting payments via crypto wallets. Microsoft and Wikipedia have also started encouraging cryptocurrencies.

Major business and upcoming tech startups open to crypto

In an attempt to promote and introduce cryptocurrency to the whole world, the UN and UNICEF also opened their doors to accepting donations in Ethereum. Countries like Venezuela, Zimbabwe are heavily investing in cryptocurrency.

Seeing this, major business and upcoming tech startups are completely open to cryptocurrencies. Crypto acceptance is now becoming a trend that major businesses have to keep up with. Businesses need to keep up with the latest developments in the crypto markets for their survival and that is what major businesses are doing.
