Cristiano Ronaldo has announced a crossover with SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. It seems Ronaldo will be appearing as a character in the upcoming game. 

Cristiano Ronaldo, the most legendary football player of all time, is looking forward to a crossover in the SNK fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. A teaser shared by the football legend on his official X account shows his appearance in the game as a character.

Ronaldo shared the teaser as “something exciting in the making”. It starts by showing a football pitch in the hallways, with the lights turning red and introducing the CR7 moniker followed by “the legendary player joins a legendary game”.

It ends with an iron door ready to get smashed by a fighter of Fatal Fury ready to enter the hallways of a football pitch.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi ties create this crossover

This collaboration is as exciting as it is weird for the fans of both football and fighting games. However, it also makes sense and is a genius move on SNK’s part.

Cristiano Ronaldo plays for the Saudi league and SNK is owned by a Saudi foundation. The roots of this collaboration involve Ronaldo’s connection with Saudi Arabia. 

Apart from this connection, Ronaldo has a record-breaking of over 113M followers on X. SNK’s move in getting Ronaldo as a seemingly playable character sounds like a win in making Ronaldo fans play fighting games. 

It is to be noted, that Ronaldo’s appearance as a playable character is a solid assumption based on what the teaser showed. The confirmation of this will be apparent in the future anticipated announcement.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set to release on April 4, 2025 across all top gaming consoles.
