Epic games legal victory against pro player proves cheaters never win in Fortnite
  • Fortnite issues a lifetime ban to RepulseGod, a professional Fortnite player.
  • Epic Games cited cheating as the main reason for this ban.
  • Morgan Bamford aka RepulseGod promised never to cheat again in the game.

Epic Games issued a lifetime ban to a professional player who shared his account with another player to enter the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS).

Epic Games has established that it will not accept cheating in its Fortnite game by taking legal action against Morgan Bamford, aka RepulseGod.

Along with the lifetime ban from the Fortnite tournaments, Bamford received additional punishment by being forced to return all prize money he obtained from the Fortnite tournament.

According to Eurogamer, Epic Games’s funds retrieved from the accused went to Child’s Play Charity, which funds video games and technological equipment for children’s hospitals.

Bamford was also forced to issue a public apology through a YouTube video that the Fortnite Competitive official account posted on X to warn other cheaters.

He apologized to the Fortnite community by admitting that “cheating in tournaments ruins the fun for the players who earned their spot in tournaments.” He also promised never to cheat again in Fortnite.

Fortnite cheater has not revealed the amount he returned to Epic Games

Bamford shared details that he shared his account with a player named Forbes to qualify for the 2023 Fortnite Championship Series grand finals. The biggest championship tournament had a prize pool of $4 million.

Bamford provided no information about the amount of money he was required to return.

To reach the top player rank, Elon Musk also shared his Diablo 4 account. However, he remains unapologetic without any serious consequences.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will be released this Friday, February 21. The upcoming Lawless season of Fortnite will include Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat as one of many battle-pass skins.

Several reports suggest that a Fast & Furious collaboration may be in development for Fortnite.

Also, reports suggest that Fortnite has achieved important development milestones in a project partnered with Disney. This project involves a $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games made by Disney last year.
