Today, Bybit announced support for USDT0 on the Mantle Network, enabling users to deposit and withdraw Tether’s omnichain stablecoin across chains with ease. Mantle becomes the largest exchange-linked Layer 2 network as a result of the cooperation, promising quicker and more seamless stablecoin transfers.
According to the announcement, Mantle and Bybit are positioned at the forefront of unified stablecoin liquidity infrastructure by endorsing the new cross-chain standard for USDT.
USDT0 is a cross-chain implementation that acts as a “unified liquidity layer” across several networks. USDT0 features a mint-and-burn architecture that ensures a precise 1:1 backing and eliminates fractured links built on LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard.
Bybit and Mantle advance unified USDT0 liquidity infrastructure
Bybit support for USDT0 on Mantle Network will enable users to experience zero-fee USDT0 withdrawals to Mantle for a limited time. According to Bybit, the partnership combines USDT0 as a liquidity infrastructure, Mantle as a top exchange-linked L2 network, and Bybit as a global liquidity venue to support the development of the next stage of cross-chain stablecoin infrastructure.
According to Bybit, USDT0 eliminates fragmented wrapped variations by providing a single omnichain representation of USDT, intended to revolutionize the movement of stablecoins. The exchange further stated that USDT0’s adoption of LayerZero’s OFT standard enables direct mint-and-burn transfers between chains.
Bybit stated that its support for USDT0 on Mantle unifies cross-chain flows, on-chain apps, and centralized liquidity into a seamless experience, providing consumers with more reliable and effective access to Tether-based liquidity.
According to Bybit, Mantle Network will provide users with quick, inexpensive USDT0 transfers on the network. Additionally, the integration will facilitate the efficient deployment of capital into Mantle-native apps while offering direct access to Bybit marketplaces via USDT0 for settlement and liquidity.
“Supporting USDT0 early, together with Tether and Bybit, is a strategic step for Mantle. It strengthens Mantle’s role as a core venue for cross-chain stablecoin liquidity and the onchain capital markets that depend on it.”
