Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador, has been lined up to address the audience at the Bitcoin conference 2022 in Miami, Florida.
Bukele, while speaking to the world’s biggest Bitcoin conference, would speak on his experience leading El Salvador to become the first country to make the number one cryptocurrency a legal tender in the country.
He would also speak on opportunities the peer-to-peer currency has provided Salvadorans.

Over 36,000 participants to attend Bitcoin conference
The Bitcoin conference is organized by BTC Inc CEO and event organizer David Bailey. According to the CEO, over 36,000 attendees would be at the conference. He said over 12,000 participants attended the 2021 conference, and for this year, they expect the number to triple.
The four-day event will take place in April and feature an industry day, two general conference days, and culminate in the first Bitcoin music festival ever, Sound Money Fest.
Speaking on hosting El Salvador, president Bailey expressed excitement, noting that the country leads the way for the world by staking so much on the Bitcoin Network.
“We are beyond thrilled to welcome President Bukele to Bitcoin 2022,” said BTC Inc CEO and event organizer David Bailey. “El Salvador is leading the way for the world by plugging its economy into the Bitcoin network.
Primarily, El Salvador’s step to make Bitcoin a legal tender was taken to be a way to improve both the population’s access to financial services, have them save fee costs while sending and receiving money abroad, and lead to more nations following its steps.
After the adoption, despite outrage from skeptics, Bitcoin has opened more possibilities for the country, which Bukele will shed light on at the conference.
