Devcon 2024 (Nov 12–15)
It’s the seventh edition of one of the biggest gatherings of Ethereum developers on the crypto calendar, bringing together hundreds of well-known personalities for a global family reunion. With its central aim being to energize the Ethereum community to explore and accelerate its creativity, Devcon 2024 is all about empowerment – educating not only developers, but the wider community on how to build and use decentralized technologies to improve their lives.
Ethereum has become a global movement, and so Devcon 2024 comes to Southeast Asia in an effort to meet more local developer communities and increase diversity in the wider blockchain community.
Even so, Devcon 2024 is a conference for everyone, where some of Ethereum’s best-known thinkers and creators plan to share their vision of how blockchain and Web3 will form the foundation of a decentralized, digital future that benefits all who embrace it.
As a developer-focused conference, there will be tons of development going on in the shape of panels and workshops, interspersed with keynote speakers, lighting talks and freeform learning sessions. [REDACTED] (Nov. 9-11)
With its promise of an unprecedented global gathering, the latest edition of [REDACTED] in Bangkok is the place to be for anyone who’s interested in the exciting, cutting-edge convergence of AI and Web3 and how these technologies can benefit people, not corporations.
The event is looking to inspire and shape a future of user-owned AI and blockchain abstraction, so that these technologies belong to the masses. Attendees will advance a vision of a “Sovereign Paradise” in an environment that’s buzzing with inspiration and opportunities to explore and learn about how AI and blockchain can go hand-in-hand to build a better world.
The transformative potential of AI needs no introduction, and the integration of blockchain will ensure that this technology remains decentralized for the benefit of all. The event is organized by NEAR Protocol, an abstraction-based blockchain that sits at the intersection of AI and Web3, and it will be joined by dozens of other big names, such as Canonical, Venice.ai and Aurora Cloud, creator of an AI-ready blockchain stack for dApp builders.
More than 1,500 blockchain founders, developers, researchers, regulators, creatives and thought leaders will be in attendance, with headline speakers including the legendary NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, Near Protocol’s Illia Polosukhin, Defiance Capital’s Arthur Cheong and Aurora Labs’ Alex Shevchenko.

Datapalooza BKK (Nov 10)
The second edition of Datapalooza is back, following a hugely successful inaugural event that piggybacked on Devconnect 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey, last year. This year’s edition is hosted and organized by The Graph, a decentralized protocol that enables more efficient data indexing and querying of public blockchains, and it will be a place for developers, builders and innovators to explore the growing data infrastructure that’s necessary to support Web3 as it goes mainstream.
The event covers an important piece of the puzzle for Web3’s future. While the industry is built on openness and decentralization, few people are aware that blockchain data access is one of its most pressing problems. It’s a challenge that needs to be solved, and The Graph and other protocols are racing to do that by combining innovative technology with powerful, incentivization mechanisms, paving the way for a global, decentralized infrastructure that everyone can use to index and share Web3’s exponentially growing data
Datapalooza has yet to publish a list of speakers, but we can expect to see a strong representation from The Graph and its growing ecosystem of supported networks and protocols, many of which are already making the most of its powerful data indexing capabilities to accelerate Web3 innovation.
Supermoon (Nov 11-13)
Overlapping with Devcon 2024 itself is the next edition of Supermoon, a series of investment-focused events co-organized by Peanut Trade, a decentralized finance pioneer that specializes in MEV solutions for centralized and decentralized exchange platforms.
Supermoon is focused on connecting Web3’s brightest minds with forward-thinking investors and venture capital funds, doing so via a series of strategic hubs and exclusive events.
To date, Supermoon has raised over $15 million in funding for Web3 startups and it fully expects that amount to increase in the wake of its Bangkok get-togethers.
Kicking things off in Bangkok on Nov. 11 will be the Supermoon startup and VC speed dating event, giving builders the opportunity to quickly connect with dozens of potential investors, followed by the Market Scaling Summit, featuring speakers such as Supermoon Ventures’ Robert Le, Animoca Brands’ David Ching, Peanut Trade’s Alex Momot and the legendary Techstars investor Pete Townsend, among others.
The events will culminate with a lively networking event, “Investing in AI”, where thought leaders and venture capitalists can meet founders face-to-face to flesh out their future business partnerships.
With its focus on fostering meaningful connections, Supermoon is a golden opportunity for builders and innovators to meet and greet with those who possess the money and influence to bring their visions to life.
