World Mobile recently announced a $25 million Grant Program. It is an initiative that aims to innovate the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) and enable the latest blockchain solutions, combining physical infrastructure with decentralized technology.
World Mobile has launched this grant in partnership with Tenity, which is an early stage investor and a major leader in startup acceleration. It is an innovation ecosystem that specifically focuses on fintech and Web3.
Under this partnership with World Mobile, Tenity will use its expertise of mentoring projects that can solve major challenges in blockchain and decentralization, and incubate them. These projects will then use the World Mobile Chain to build their project.
Regarding this, the CEO of World Mobile Group, Micky Watkins stated, “By partnering with Tenity, we’re ensuring that the World Mobile Chain Grant Program doesn’t just fund projects but provides the guidance and resources necessary to drive scalable, impactful innovation.”
The CEO further added, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to empowering developers who share our vision of a decentralized, inclusive future. Together, we can unlock the potential of DePIN to transform telecoms and expand connectivity to underserved communities.”
What is World Mobile and Tenity?
As of yet, Tenity has supported a wide range of ventures in Web3, and has facilitated over 250 collaborations all over the world. Along with that, it has also managed more than 100 corporate innovation programs. Currently, it is working with major leaders in the tech space like Microsoft, Ripple, VISA, and SIX.
On the other hand, World Mobile is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network that uses a shared economy model, allowing communities and individual users to run nodes and earn rewards. Just last week, World Mobile Chain launched the public test net. It is a first-of-its-kind blockchain that is specifically built for DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network). Since it is an EVM-compatible Layer 3, it offers high-performance. Hence, a range of industry leaders have decided to build their projects on the World Mobile Chain (WMC).
What does the Grant Program focus on?
This $25 million Grant Program offers a range of fundings that start from $5,000 and considers a wide range of applicants. Potential applicants include enterprises and early-stage startups.
Overall, this grant focuses on 5 aspects. These include decentralized communications, cross-chain interoperability, on-chain governance and security, decentralized identity management, and tokenization of real-world assets to bridge digital worlds and physical assets.
