Crypto related crimes have been increasing, and news of hacks and scams are becoming more and more frequent. To combat this epidemic, WISeKey has released an ID Solution. The ID Solution is backed up by the blockchain technology.
The main purpose of its creation is to secure and protect the Internet of Things devices and confidential data. The ID solution was released on 29th of March 2019. WISeKey is very experienced in cybersecurity and is aware of the necessity of protection of cyber data.
The process of ensuring security is done by Root of Trust. The Root of Trust is a tool that ensures secure authentication. This tool is default and built-in in over four billion devices all over the world.
The ID solution (now called SensorsID) will be launched and supported by the Root of Trust. This will use the 2-factor authentication system and link it with the blockchain platform to protect all of the data and transactions occurring in the blockchain network
This is not WISeKey’s first attempt to create such a solution. In fact, CertifyID and WISeID were the ones they first created. Although the names are different the motivation to create them was the same. SensorsID can be used locally and commercially as well. WISeKey says that creating solutions like SensorsID will be more productive and helpful. WISeKey offers a range of digital ID solutions for maximum protection.
WISeKey was just recently reported to have collaborated with the Blockchain Research Institute. A Blockchain Center of Excellence was the result of this collaboration. The official announcement was made in February. The Blockchain Research Institute wants to make even more such startups possible to expand the adoption and reach of crypto and blockchain technology.
