Question 1

Why is the Ontology mainnet still down?

Accepted Answer

Ontology said on September 1 that its security review uncovered "malicious attack activity targeting the network," so it is keeping the chain paused to complete remediation and a network upgrade, with a stated goal of resuming within 24 hours.

Question 2

How much was taken in the Cronos Tectonic exploit?

Accepted Answer

An attacker inflated the TONIC token about 100 times in 20 minutes and borrowed against it, affecting roughly $74 million, but PeckShield said only about $6 million in Ethereum left the chain before Cronos halted; Crypto.com's app and exchange were not compromised.

Question 3

Was Injective actually hacked during its halt?

Accepted Answer

It is unconfirmed. On-chain analyst Rarma found the chain paused for 3 hours 42 minutes on August 31 with nothing rolled back, while another X user speculated about a possible $2.79 million drain, a claim neither Injective nor Upbit has verified.
