Question 2

What happens if I leave my crypto on BitMEX after it closes?

Accepted Answer

KYC-verified users who do not withdraw by the deadline will be charged a monthly fee of $50 or 1% per year, whichever is greater, on their remaining balance, and they can still log in to withdraw afterward.

Question 3

Why is BitMEX closing?

Accepted Answer

HDR Global Trading Limited's board decided to shut the exchange after a strategic review, following a failed search for a buyer and years of decline that saw BitMEX lose its derivatives lead to rivals such as Binance, Bybit, and OKX.
