Following its success in liquid staking solutions, DeFi platform Stader Labs now aims to bring order to the chaotic growth of the memecoin space.
Accounting for over 5% of the total crypto market, the memecoin space is not exactly the laughingstock of the broader internet as it used to be. The growth of the memecoin space can only be described as “chaotic.” Stader Labs aims to bring order and clarity to this market with the launch of ‘Cabbage,’ an innovative AI-powered trading platform designed specifically for memecoins and speculative assets.
Stader Labs is known for its liquid staking solutions, currently managing over $400 million in total value locked (TVL) and maintaining a vibrant community exceeding 155,000 users. The launch of Cabbage marks a significant expansion for the DeFi platform, taking a jab at a market that accounts for nearly half of the decentralized exchange (DEX) activities on prominent blockchains like Solana.
Establishing order in memecoin chaos
The memecoin sector has become infamous for its volatility, rapid token launches and rampant scams. It’s only natural for newcomers to feel overwhelmed while experienced traders take a wary stance. Cabbage harnesses advanced artificial intelligence to distill complexity into user-friendly features. This new platform includes the Cabbage Opportunity Feed, which provides AI-curated token selections based on sophisticated market analysis.
In addition to these tools, users gain access to features such as Whale Watch, a real-time tracking system for monitoring top traders, Crowd Pulse, capturing social sentiment signals from platforms like X and Telegram, and “Safety Check,” designed to automate risk assessments and identify potential scams.
$420M annual revenue potential
Cabbage’s business model is built on securing about 5% of the memecoin trading volume on decentralized exchanges (approximately $70 billion monthly). If achieved, Cabbage’s projected 1% trading fee could generate as much as $420 million annually.
Stader Labs also works on additional monetization avenues, such as premium subscription models, advanced analytics, and targeted advertising for emerging token projects, to further amplify the platform’s earning potential.
Closed alpha arrives
The closed alpha launch of Cabbage has begun with limited spots available through a waitlist. Initial testing phases will refine key features, including the Opportunity Feed and YOLO Buys, enabling optimized single-click trades. Stader Labs plans to add Advanced Opportunity Feed, the AI-powered Cabbage Score and Crowd Pulse in the first quarter. Cabbage will also be integrated into other networks, including Base, Berachain and SUI.
The roadmap indicates ambitious expansions planned for later this year, including mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices in Q2 2025, complemented by fiat payment integration via Apple Pay and Google Pay to further enhance user accessibility.
By Q3 2025, Cabbage aims to broaden its offerings beyond memecoins to encompass other speculative assets and traditional cryptocurrencies.
Users are invited to join the Cabbage waitlist to get early access to “the future of speculative trading.” The Cabbage litepaper offers further details about the project, and the team is open to any feedback on the features.
