SK Planet to buy MOCA Coin to adopt Moca Network’s decentralized identity infrastructure

Today, SK Planet announced that it will purchase MOCA Coin (MOCA) on the open market to join Moca Network’s decentralized identity network for credential insurance and verification. The purchase of MOCA is part of SK Planet’s plan to implement an enterprise-class, decentralized identity infrastructure offered by Moca Network.
According to the announcement, AIR Account and AIR Identity offer SK Planet’s 28 million users decentralized identity verification and zero-knowledge proof technologies, along with high standards for user data ownership and control.
SK Planet strengthens data privacy with Moca Network integration
SK Planet claimed that by integrating Moca Network‘s AIR Account and AIR Identity, the Tech company will enable its 95,000 merchant partners to confirm their users’ private information with their express consent, to ensure user control and ownership of the data are maintained. AIR Kit partners will be able to verify user data created on SK Planet’s platform, ensuring that privacy-protected data is compatible throughout SK Planet’s ecosystem and beyond.
Kenneth Shek, project lead of Moca Network, said SK Planet’s acquisition of MOCA Coin, along with SK Planet’s integration of AIR Kit infrastructure and adoption of zero-knowledge proofs, marks a milestone in returning data ownership to users at an enterprise scale. Shek emphasized that SK Planet is demonstrating how large consumer platforms can utilize decentralized identification to offer both privacy and value by integrating with Moca Network’s identity ecosystem and enabling merchant-side verification through user agreement.

SK Planet expands services with Moca Network AIR Identity
According to the SK Planet announcement, the tech firm will incorporate Moca Network’s AIR Identity into its services, building on the successful launch of OKI Club integrated with AIR Wallet in February 2025. The report added that the integration of Moca Network AIR will enable users to manage the received rewards using wallet features such as token swaps and staking.
Kyosu Kim, Chief Business Officer at SK Planet, stated that the partnership between Moca and SK Planet will provide millions of customers and merchant partners with decentralized identity and privacy verification. Kim emphasized that by utilizing the AIR Kit and AIR Wallet, SK Planet can expand the benefits of the OKI Club and reward its users with MOCA Coin, while also giving them greater control over their data.
Moca Network team confirmed the $BOOST token launchpool on September 19, which had a total capacity of 10,000,000 $BOOST tokens. According to the press release, a minimum staking power of 19,000 was required to participate in the MocaDrop registration period, which took place from September 19 at 8:00 AM UTC to September 24 at 4:00 PM UTC. Moca Network allocated the $BOOST coins to the public on September 25 at 8:00 AM UTC.
The native token of the MOCA Network, MOCA, currently has a market valuation of $298.93 million as of October 2nd and is currently trading at $0.07555, representing a 1.5% decrease from the previous day. The fully diluted valuation (FDV) was $671.59 million during the same period, with a trading volume of $17.56 million, representing a 23.16% increase in value. MOCA has 3.95 billion tokens in circulation, with 511,630 holders.
