The hackathon follows the successful conclusion of Hackathon 2, where more than 2,300 developers submitted 411 decentralized applications, expanding the QIE ecosystem to over 700 live dApps deployed on the blockchain explorer. During the event, USD 20,000 in prize money was distributed to winning teams through on-chain transactions, providing transparent and verifiable rewards for contributors.

Rather than encouraging short-term prototypes, participants have four months—from 1 August through 10 December 2026—to build, deploy and refine applications on QIE Mainnet.
Projects will compete across five categories:

- Developer Infrastructure & Tooling
Judging will evaluate technical execution, innovation, user experience, ecosystem integration and commercial potential. Additional recognition will be given to projects that demonstrate measurable user adoption before judging concludes.
The competition features a USD 17,000 prize pool, with awards structured to encourage both successful launches and continued growth.
