Once Human developers teased a giant monster or a collection of monsters that may be coming to the game soon. The imminent update on incoming giants caused excitement among players.

Once Human, a free-to-play open-world survival game, recently announced that new updates involving new in-game characters will be featured in the gameplay soon. The game’s developers teased the imminent introduction of giants or monsters, causing increased excitement among players.

The game has attracted acclamation from gamers for its epic base building, cheaters ban, and fair monetization, with over 100,000 players on Steam.

Once humans give clues about incoming giants

The hints about giants coming to Once Human first surfaced with Meeki, an X user. Meeki posted four screenshots of two giants in the form of a giant house and a bus that had human-like limbs. The bus giant appeared to glow from the inside, while the house giant appeared to have glowing bulbs on its limbs.

Another user replied to the post, claiming to have encountered a different giant. The user posted a screenshot of their character aiming a rifle at a tall purple giant standing nearby.

On August 5th, Once Human quoted Meeki’s X post with an assurance of bigger giants in the game soon. Another X user asked in the comments how big the monsters will be, to which Once Human replied with a GIF of a man opening his arms wide and the words “BIG” written in capital letters.

Giant incorporation dates remain a mystery

It is still unclear when the monsters will first appear in the open-world survival game. However, the game usually conducts frequent updates, so players are less likely to wait a long time before they stumble upon them. Players have shown anticipation of interacting with the monsters after they are introduced to the game, despite the game being review-bombed on Steam shortly after launch.

Once Human faced backlash from Steam users over privacy concerns back in June. The survival game prompted Steam players to submit their personal information, including their government-issued ID, email address, gender, passport information, messaging account, telephone number, and other information.

Once Human received a swath of negative reviews on Steam. Some players claimed that the game was an identity theft scam. Starry Studio, a subsidiary of developer and publisher Netease, responded by addressing these privacy concerns. The company emphasized that collecting government-issued identification will only take place when local laws allow.

Through an official statement on Discord, Starry Studio emphasized that the ID information was necessary to ensure parents’ consent to purchase the game for their kids. After the verification process is complete, Starry Studio claims the ID information is immediately deleted.
