  • Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux have become the first in their networks to accept crypto payments via Lyzi.
  • Lyzi also launched a crypto donation platform with Doctors of the World, enabling digital-asset giving across 400 humanitarian programs in 80+ countries.
  • The fintech now connects over 800,000 points of sale to Web3 payments, having seen considerable growth since it last raised €1.3 million in April 2025.

Tezos-powered French fintech Lyzi announced today that Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux have become the first dealerships in their respective networks to accept cryptocurrency payments, allowing customers to purchase vehicles using Bitcoin, Tez, stablecoins (EURC, USDC), and over 80 other cryptocurrencies.

The dealerships are expected to see instant euro conversion without exposure to cryptocurrency volatility. That backend conversion has been one of the most common points where conversations with merchants break down, as they have typically been hesitant to hold digital assets on their balance sheets.

“Collaborating with iconic players like Porsche and Lamborghini, alongside humanitarian organizations like Doctors of the World, proves that crypto payments are no longer a trend but a reality,” said Damien Patureaux, CEO of Lyzi. “We’re making cryptocurrency payments as simple as card payments while opening new possibilities for global giving.”

Luxury dealerships embrace crypto with Lyzi

“We wanted to offer our customers a purchasing experience that meets their standards, while integrating new financial practices,” said Jean-Pierre Launay, Director of Porsche Centre Montpellier, in a statement shared with Cryptopolitan. “With Lyzi, we combine innovation, performance, and simplicity.”

Thomas Hecquet, Director at Lamborghini Centre Bordeaux, stated, “For our clientele who appreciate both Italian craftsmanship and digital innovation, accepting cryptocurrency is simply another expression of exceptional service and exclusive access to the extraordinary.”

The automotive dealership deals are particularly notable given the ticket size of luxury vehicle purchases, which can easily move from hundreds of thousands of euros to millions per unit.

Doctors of the World tests out digital donations with Lyzi

The French fintech firm has also partnered with Doctors of the World (Médecins du Monde) to launch a cryptocurrency donation platform. The initiative allows international donors to contribute funds using digital assets to about 400 programs across more than 80 countries.

“For several years, Doctors of the World has been diversifying its public fundraising sources to guarantee its independence of action,” said Guillaume Cotillard, Director of Communication and Development, Doctors of the World, in a statement.

“With a crypto market now regulated within the EU, we decided to launch this crypto donation experiment to better understand these new uses and their funding potential for the coming years.”

How much has Lyzi grown since its last seed round?

The startup raised €1.3 million in April 2025 from investors including Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines, founder and CEO of Dfns; NYX Venture Singapore; and Jean-Luc Bernard, founder of Astek. So far, it is currently adopted in over 800,000 points of sale as it continues to connect merchants to Web3 solutions.

This isn’t Lyzi’s first foray into other sectors to increase the usage of its platform for payments. Last year, Printemps, a French luxury department store chain, partnered with Binance Pay and Lyzi, becoming the first major European department store to accept crypto payments across over 20 stores in France, serving over 6.5 million French customers.

Ferrari extended its crypto payment program to Europe in July 2024, following success in the United States.
