A leak by Gastaldaddy on Reddit revealed a list of Pokémon TCG Pocket cards and events that were set to kick off in December. The leak revealed an impending app update, new cards for an upcoming Wonder Picks, and a Solo Battle Event with the post tagged with pictures of JiggluPuff, Onix, Greninja, Haunter, Bulbausar, and Magnemite cards. A few days later, the app update revealed earlier confirmed some details and also revealed multiple cards coming to the game.
The app update revealed that Bulbasaur and its evolutionary line and Magnemite would be the main focus of the December events. The update confirmed the inclusion of all the other leaked cards in the game, as well as the inclusion of Mewtwo and Venusaur cards to the fold. The new cards will feature new artwork and will serve as the highlights of the Wonder Pick and Solo Battle events by allowing players to compete for exclusive prizes. Starting on December 6th, the Wonder Pick event provides a fresh challenge for players aiming to expand their collections.
The leaked cards will also play a pivotal role in a Venusaur PvE event, running from November 29th to December 13th. In this event, gamers will engage in solo battles against AI opponents to win valuable rewards, just like the Lapras Ex event. The PvE event’s design has successfully promoted player engagement as players compete for collectible elements. The events that were revealed also banked on nostalgia-driven content that had drawn the spotlight to Gen-1 starter Pokemon such as Bulbasaur.
Upcoming events excite Pokémon enthusiasts worldwide
The upcoming events and the cards included have stirred excitement among Pokemon fans around the world. Gamers were excited about the new cards and events, stating that they could not wait to get started while listing cards they were looking to play with. However, some gamers were not pleased by the reveals and complained about already owning some of the cards.
“How will the Mewtwo be given out? Will the missions of Pokemon be done the same as Lapras or will they be integrated with online battles? I say that because I hate playing online.”

Many gamers wanted to know how the cards revealed for the events would be given out and whether they would be integrated with other game elements. Despite not disclosing all the information, the developers urged gamers to update their apps. The official notice warned players that they had yet to update their apps and “battles while not on the correct version may result in match results not reflecting correctly.”
