The Layer 0++ blockchain HyperCycle has been making moves to expand its platform after an unprecedented spike in the platform’s demand. The platform, which provides fast and low-cost AI-driven microservices, announced its plans for strategic expansion during the 2024 Devcon.
HyperCycle explained that it would introduce the expansion through a non-contentious fork, creating two parallel paths to work with the HyperCycle and the other, MettaCycle.
The firm noted the growing production and use of AI tools, making it a perfect opportunity to initiate the expansion. The U.S. Government Accountability Office published a report indicating increased use of generative AI tools, machine learning, facial recognition, and more.
Through the expansion, HyperCycle also intends to meet the needs of the diverse global AI community, further cementing its place in the provision of AI solutions. The platform expects the expansion to encourage community participation and innovations further.
The expansion leverages TODA and SingularityNET
The expansion will leverage HyperCycle partners TODA and SingularityNET, operating on parallel paths. The TODA team will handle the HyperCycle Core to address the platform’s original objectives.
The HyperCycle Core will continue to work toward providing flexible, enterprise-grade AI networking solutions. The platform confirmed that merging open—and closed-source options will improve the solution’s security and scalability.
The merge of the two components also solidifies HyperCycle collaboration opportunities with major technological partners. Beyond that, using the approach allows the infrastructure provided by the platform to be more adaptable and can work with evolving AI user needs.
HyperCycle Core will still work with both centralized and decentralized networks. The path will also maintain an in-and-out crypto approach, using digital assets for node generation.
MetaCycle, the non-contentious fork developed on the SingularityNET ecosystem, will handle the decentralized networks only. One key difference between the fork and the HyperCycle Core is its use of open-source development. MetaCycle will still work toward scalability, security, and interoperability of AI computing.
The platform confirmed that the fork would support centralized and decentralized exchanges. The opportunity will open speculative token trading to users. MetaCycle will also embrace a crypto-based business approach, similar to projects like Ethereum.
HyperCycle further explained that the fork would merge extreme sets beyond the previous intersection. The platform also believes that more players can join the ecosystem and help create more wealth for users.
HyperCycle offers HyPC holders more value
With the recent development, HyperCycle mentioned that holders of the platform’s native token, HyPC, will receive an airdrop of the fork’s token. The platform also insisted that its objective was to continue offering HyPC investors more value.
HyperCycle further maintained that the platform was looking out for all shareholders involved, including the team, partners, node owners, and HyPC holders. The fork will ensure no division in the community while offering more benefits and a democratized ecosystem.
