CoinFello’s Fello 2 turns plain-language prompts into running DeFi strategies as it hands swap fees back to users

  • CoinFello has launched Fello 2, an AI agent that executes DeFi strategies from written prompts.
  • The upgrade extends the agent to any EVM-compatible contract while keeping private keys out of its hands.
  • A launch rewards program hands all eligible swap fees back to users and referrers in Monad’s MON token.

CoinFello has released Fello 2, an upgrade to its artificial intelligence agent that the company says can interpret a written instruction, draft a strategy for the user to approve, and then run it unattended.

The company paired the release with a rewards program that returns all eligible swap fees to users and the people they refer during a limited launch window, paid in MON, the native token of the Monad blockchain.

What is new with Fello 2?

Doing DeFi by hand means cross-referencing values across separate applications, initiating and approving each transaction, and hoping every order detail is configured correctly.

CoinFello says the new agent collapses that work into one instruction. In an example supplied by the company, a user asks the agent to shift idle USDC into the highest-yielding stablecoin pool each Friday, add margin first if any position comes within 15% of liquidation, and report back afterward.

The agent parses the conditions, sequences the steps, and returns a summary at the point specified.

The first version, Fello 1, was launched in June, and the latest is an upgrade to it, as it also extends the product from a special-purpose tool to a general-purpose agent able to interact with any EVM-compatible smart contract, including liquidity positions on Uniswap V2, V3 and V4.

That release still required the user to initiate each action. CoinFello first opened the platform to the public at the EthCC conference in Cannes in March, following a private alpha restricted to a waitlist.

Holders of externally owned accounts can use the monitoring function without moving any funds, according to the company. The agent flags position drift, liquidation risk and yield differentials elsewhere.

Funding a separate Automation Wallet, which the user owns, becomes necessary only once the agent is authorized to move money in response.

How does the agent execute without holding a user’s keys?

According to CoinFello, the AI agent assesses the transactions it is asked to sign and refuses blind-signing requests, approval-phishing attempts, and transactions constructed to empty a wallet. The company says the agent cannot claim permissions beyond those granted.

Also, the agent does not hold private keys.

The category of attack the checks are aimed at has proved expensive. Chainalysis has estimated cumulative losses to approval phishing at more than $2.7 billion in 2024, and it has not gotten any better. Losses from individual wallets have also grown as a proportion of all crypto theft, rising from about a tenth in 2022 to almost a quarter in 2025.

This year has also seen record incidences that have led to losses.

What will users earn under the CoinFello rewards program?

The company stated that all eligible swaps that are done through Fello will earn the user a share in the swap fees in MON under the rewards program

Users will receive a share of fees generated by anyone they refer, for as long as that person continues swapping.

CoinFello also added that it will return the entirety of the swap fees it collects on eligible activity to users and referrers during the launch period. However, after this period elapses, both groups will be moved to a standard rate. The company said that it will announce the date of the change before the window ends.

So far, there is no cap on referrals or on total earnings from qualifying activity. CoinFello added that it is still developing a feature that will allow users to deposit claimed rewards into a self-custodial account that is managed by the agent.

“The hardest part of DeFi isn’t one thing, it’s two: knowing the right move, and then actually making it, over and over again,” said jacobc.eth, co-founder and chief executive officer, while adding, “And from today, 100 per cent of the fees generated from swaps go back to the people making them, not to us.”

MON currently trades at $0.0218, having risen by over 2% in the past 24 hours. Its market capitalization is currently over $257 million.
