Question 1

Qui est concerné par la vulnérabilité Ledger de Zilliqa ?

Accepted Answer

Only users who signed native, non-EVM ZIL transactions with a Ledger device face risk. Holders who move ZIL exclusively through EVM-compatible tooling, along with the Zilliqa SDKs, are not affected.

Question 2

Comment les attaquants ont-ils pu voler les clés privées grâce à cette faille ?

Accepted Answer

The Ledger app copied the wrong 32 bytes from a 40-byte value. That fixed the top 64 bits of each signing nonce at zero, and the lost randomness let an attacker reconstruct a private key from about five or more affected signatures using public on-chain data.

Question 3

Quand Zilliqa a-t-il détecté l'exploitation ?

Accepted Answer

Zilliqa said it observed on-chain activity consistent with active exploitation on July 19. It isolated the root cause on July 21, then disclosed the vulnerability publicly on July 22. The project credited KuCoin for confirming the attack.
