Final Fantasy XVI was released on Steam and Epic Games store on September 17th, as planned. The anticipated announcement was shared on the game’s official Twitter account.
Two editions of FF XVI are available for PC

Square Enix also shared more details on their website. The game will have two editions on both Steam and Epic Games platforms.
The first edition is a standard one which includes the base game (priced for $51 USD). The second edition is the complete pack (priced at $75 USD) with additional downloadable content apart from the base game. These DLC chapters are Echoes of the Fallen and the Rising Tide.
Final Fantasy XVI PC version of the game took more than a year
The game was released on PS5 on 22 June 2023, selling over 3 million copies in the first week of its launch. Fans are elevated with its PC release which took over a year.
A gaming influencer Genki on X tweeted “FF16 was my GOTY for 2023 and I recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played it yet! Super Epic game!”
At the time of this post, FF XVI on Steam has 78% of positive reviews out of 168 reviews.

On August 30, 2024, the game was briefly available on PS PLUS, due to an apparent error. The game’s announcement regarding its release on the XBOX series is still awaited.
