The Adidas brand will feature digital content in the game, including access to digital kits, jerseys, and shoe releases inspired by the brand’s rich football culture. Gamers can build their dream team from world-famous clubs and star players, compete in real-time PvP, and trade digital player cards represented as digital collectibles on the Mythical marketplace.
FIFA Rivals sets a new Era of football gaming
John Linden, CEO and Founder of Mythical Games said that FIFA Rivals is all about celebrating the global passion for football in a fresh and modern way. He added that bringing Adidas into the game gives gamers a more profound cultural connection and the chance to represent one of the most iconic brands in football on the pitch and off. According to Linden, the collaboration sets a new standard for how brands appear in digital experiences.
The collaboration will allow fans and Gamers to unlock a range of digital items to outfit their teams in a three-stripe style. Digital kit drops will feature classic Adidas jersey designs and boot releases tied to real-world player performance. The game will also feature a limited edition match ball designed for FIFA Rivals. A fully immersive Adidas Training facility, where gamers can level up player cards and complete challenges, will also be featured in the game.
The agreement included limited-time in-game events, challenges, and rewards tied to Adidas’ most celebrated football gear and apparel drop. Adidas aims to bring a deeper real-world connection to the digital pitch, including covering athlete rights and cross-promotional campaigns.
FIFA Rivals gives players full ownership of in-game assets
FIFA Rivals is expected to launch next week on the 12th, following a successful beta test in key markets. The game will be available on the Google Play and iOS App Store. He revealed that gamers no longer seem to care about the Web3 distinction, and therefore, the company may drop the Web3 terminology from the game description. He believes NFL Rivals helped drive the Web3 distinction, and with trading happening all around, Mythical Marketplace is a global secondary market where gamers and fans can trade seamlessly.
