Question 1

Why did Datavault AI stock crash?

Accepted Answer

The stock fell roughly 49.6% to about $0.067 after Datavault disclosed it cannot withdraw Bitcoin held at the Biconomy exchange and that four sets of financial statements from late 2025 through mid-2026 can no longer be relied upon.

Question 2

How much Bitcoin is involved and where did it come from?

Accepted Answer

Scilex credited 1,309.04 BTC to Datavault's Biconomy wallet as part of a $150 million stock purchase agreement, paid at $112,915.52 per coin; Datavault later sold 491.431 of those coins back to Scilex for about $40.5 million.

Question 3

How does the restatement affect Datavault's finances?

Accepted Answer

Datavault now treats the Bitcoin as a subscription receivable rather than a company asset, cutting reported total assets by as much as $92.2 million as of December 31, 2025, and prompting management to reassess its going-concern status.
