Apple announced its latest AI features would be available on macOS Sequoia 15.1,iPad 10.1, and iOS 18.1. The update follows Tim Cook’s announcement in June revealing Apple devices’ artificial intelligence features makeover.
The company notably seeks to improve user interactions with Apple’s devices, especially with the iPhone 15 and later models.
Apple is reportedly shifting towards a device-centered approach, unlike other tech giants focusing on cloud-based AI. According to the company, Apple’s intelligence initial features include a revamped Siri, improved photo management, and writing assistance tools.
The company highlighted some of the enhancements to its digital assistant, Siri, which include a glowing screen edge when activated and answering more questions about Apple’s products.
Apple also noted that some writing tools in the new features are integrated with the Operating System, allowing users to refine their messages. Users can now choose in-app writing styles such as “concise” or “professional.”

In a press release, the company also announced the launch of its new iMac, which features Apple Intelligence and an M4 chip.
According to the company, the M4 would increase the device’s speed by 1.7x for daily activities and 2.1x for more complex activities compared to iMac with an M1 chip.
Apple added that the M4’s neutral engine enables the Apple Intelligence features that would transform the device’s usability while protecting privacy.
The company also highlighted that the device was available in different colors and had a 24-inch and 4.5k Retina display. It further praised the M4 chip, adding that it boosts the device’s performance by increasing the CPU’s speed.
Apple also specified that ChatGPT would be integrated into Siri in December, allowing users to access the generative AI without having to shift to their browser.
