Ankr collaborates with optimism to launch Rollup as a Service for Web3 developers

In this post:

  • Ankr teams up with Optimism to launch Rollup as a Service.
  • This collaboration offers scalability and simplifies deployment, enhancing Web3 development opportunities for businesses and developers.
  • Ankr’s comprehensive web3 developer hub now includes RaaS, further solidifying its role in the blockchain industry.

Ankr, the all-in-one web3 developer hub, has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Optimism to introduce Rollup as a Service (RaaS). This innovative solution empowers businesses and developers to swiftly create and deploy dedicated Optimistic Ethereum (OP) Chains, inheriting the technical and governance advantages of the Superchain ecosystem.

Ankr will provide the necessary engineering and infrastructure support for this new offering, offering a convenient and accessible approach to launching OP Chains. The official announcement was made during OP Labs’ Onchain Summit at Devconnect in Istanbul on November 14.

Customized L2 solutions with Ankr’s RaaS

Ankr’s Rollup as a Service enables users to establish independent Layer 2 (L2) solutions based on the OP Stack. These L2 chains are exclusively tailored to serve traffic from their respective applications or projects. This collaboration has caught the attention of the Optimism Foundation, which has invited Ankr to become an official implementation partner to deliver OP Chains to potential customers.

Josh Neuroth, Ankr’s Head of Product, expressed his enthusiasm for this partnership, stating,

“The combination of benefits from the OP Stack and Ankr’s Rollup as a Service will be beyond powerful for Web3 developers. The scalability introduced, along with the sheer ease of deploying a new L2 for every enterprise or dApp that wants one, will be enough to start cashing in on some of the earlier promises introduced by the industry. This is the maturation we need to make the next generation of use cases a reality.”

Tess Rinearson, Head of Product at OP Labs, also shared her excitement about the collaboration, saying,

“We are excited to work with Ankr to make it even easier for developers to help bring new users onchain in a thriving Superchain ecosystem. Ankr is already a trusted partner that provides Optimism with node infrastructure, so providing high-quality RaaS is a natural extension of our partnership.”

Expanding scaling solutions for developers

Ankr’s Rollup as a Service is an extension of their Scaling Services suite, which already offers the capability to launch custom sidechains on various blockchain ecosystems. With this new addition, Ankr aims to address the growing demand in the industry for highly scalable projects that can leverage Ethereum’s security and token model.

Ankr stands as an all-in-one web3 developer hub, offering a comprehensive suite of tools for building web3 applications. The platform provides high-performance connections to over 40 blockchains, simplifying blockchain development for various use cases. Ankr is also recognized as the approved infrastructure partner for creating dedicated sidechains and L2 rollups on ecosystems like Optimism, zkSync, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche.

Their services cover every aspect of infrastructure and engineering, including validators, RPC nodes, block explorers, testnets, staking platforms, and more, offering tailor-made blockchain solutions for projects.
