1inch Card holders who miss Dec. 18 can still redeem funds for six years

- 1inch Card holders who miss December 18 can still redeem leftover e-wallet funds for up to six years after account closure.
- 1inch is winding down its crypto debit card and asks holders to withdraw or spend balances by December 18, 2026.
- 1inch says the issuer and provider set the real cutoff, so it cannot guarantee cards will work until then.
1inch Card holders who miss the December 18 withdrawal date will still have a claim on their money. Leftover e-wallet balances remain redeemable for up to six years after an account closes, said 1inch, as it closes its crypto debit card.
The program is no longer accepting new signups. For now, existing cards and accounts still work.
Section 16 of the issuer’s terms keeps e-wallet balances claimable
1inch steers holders to Section 16 of the published card terms of the issuer, which addresses redeeming funds held in an e-wallet. According to the FAQ, under that section, the money can be claimed up to six years after the account is closed.

If a holder misses the window, they should contact Crypto Life or the issuer under the card’s terms. 1inch still urges them to withdraw now instead of waiting for the fallback.
These processes are managed by third parties and can be altered in their terms, processes, and timelines at any time, 1inch said. The company says it has no way to verify or confirm them.
Crypto Life and the issuer control the real shut-off date
1inch asks holders to move balances as soon as they reasonably can, and no later than December 18, 2026. The company says that the date is “as far ahead as we can currently foresee.”
The card issuer and card provider set the precise timeline of the card, so 1inch cannot guarantee the exact end date.
The card accounts are overseen by Crypto Life. Funds are held by Baanx.com Ltd in the UK and Frozen Time UNIPESSOAL LDA in the EU.

Holders can send 1inch support what they asked for, when, and how they asked for it if they don’t hear back from Crypto Life. 1inch can’t handle requests made at the account level. It says it will record the case and take it to Crypto Life.
1inch announced the launch of the card with Mastercard and Baanx-linked Crypto Life in April 2024. It converted crypto to fiat at checkout and was supported online, in stores, and at ATMs on the Mastercard network, as well as on Apple Pay and Google Pay.

As per Cryptopolitan, the Based Visa Card program was hacked on October 5, exposing KYC data of card users, including passport numbers and residential addresses. Based alerted Singapore’s data regulator and filed a police report.
